Objective:

To recruit and develop high-calibre manufacturing professionals at the middle and senior levels, invest in them and provide them with opportunities to take on leadership positions across the manufacturing businesses of the Group.

Accelerated leadership development program

  • The accelerated leadership development program consists of learning sessions which typically has 4 modules – Common onboarding, understanding business environment & developing financial acumen, developing decision making capabilities, and lastly building a customer centric mindset.
  • Over the period of 12 months, participants will be brought up to speed by providing them with on the job assignments, mentoring by senior business leaders, and individual & group coaching by an executive coach. This will be further supplemented by webinars & resources.

Mentoring by senior leaders

The GMLP participant will have the opportunity to interact and learn from the Senior Leaders of the Group, with exposure to cross-functional leaders across businesses.

Exposure to key group processes

  • The GMLP participant will be provided with an overview of the Group Manufacturing Businesses and its key drivers.
  • They will also be provided with an understanding of key Group processes such as Planning and Budgeting, Business Review and Capex Processes, Strategic Planning Process, People Processes and Practices etc.

Leadership assignments

The Global Manufacturing Leadership Program accelerates the development of middle and senior level talent to produce leaders to take on challenging roles in different sectors comprising of Chemicals, Cement, Metals, Pulp and Fibre, Mining, Carbon Black, Textiles, Insulators and Fertilzers, and across different departments that include Production/Manufacturing, Maintenance, Utilities, Projects, etc. at the Group’s manufacturing locations in India and across the world.

The Global Manufacturing Leadership Program is a premium, Group level program of the Aditya Birla Group.

Every year, through this program, a select set of high-performing and high-calibre manufacturing professionals are hired for key leadership roles in the manufacturing operations of the Group.

The program encompasses an intensive onboarding, mentoring, transition and development period during which participants

Enhance their leadership and functional skills through rotational assignments across different businesses of the Group.

Get exposure to key Group processes like world-class manufacturing, research & product development and project management among others.

Are provided opportunities to work in cross-functional areas besides their current area of expertise.
